Neuro-psychological testing should always be supportive of the client. Simply telling a woman she can't do anything correctly is (beyond obviously) wrong, and does lead to bad ramifications. Read More

Yep, sort of heavy
But that was a really effective description of the process of suffering, testing and therapy. A good reminder of how easy it is to not help a patient.
Also, despite the general tone, there were some very funny lines in here. That made the reading easier.
What a process
Your process of getting help sounds so similar to the process I went through with Indigo. So many people told ME I was a disappointment for Indigo's problems. I should have been a better parent. I should have taught him all the things he was deficient in. I felt like a failure in every aspect of the word.
I find it interesting how people think they can push their belief systems on others. If you're not married: failure. Got laid off from your job: failure. Want to be a writer: failure.
It drives me crazy. But I have learned that it doesn't matter what those people think. There is a world of people who think otherwise and that's who matter.
P.S. I talked about anxiety in my post this week too.
I couldn't imagine growing up
I couldn't imagine growing up in that era, and having to wait so long in life to find out that it was an actual disorder, and not just a figment of my imagination. Both my brother and I suffer from anxiety, but we both have been fortunate to have caught it early on, considering our age. He, however, refuses help and in return feels the same way about himself. It's great that you've taken steps to improve your being, even though those words can be so harmful.
