"such leaders are hardly leaders"
I agree! Such leaders are clueless maintainers of dysfunctional!

Is strapping your pet dog to the roof of your car as Romney has admitted to doing during a long car trip "normal" psychological behavior?
Normal?
I am puzzled as to why Dr. Ghaemi considers Mitt Romney "normal" and healthy psychologically when he has admitted to strapping his pet dog to the roof of his car during a long car trip. Can you please explain how this could be considered to be well-adjusted or appropriate behavior?
Thanks.
Romney hasn't won - the Media has
For months mainstream media has shoved Romney down the throats of reluctant Americans. Convinced the gullible masses of his "electability." Whatever the hell that means.
.
Moreover, they have launched relentless, and often baseless, attacks on any rival. New Gingrich, Herman Cain and Rick Perry would agree. Baseless accusations, false crimes, outright lies. Nothing is beneath the media in our nation - and that includes the attacks from this site, clearly liberally biased in the extreme.
.
Romney has won nothing. He has done nothing. Well, nothing right. He is the status quo personified. More of the same. Which is what those in power want. So they shove him down our throats, play him up and tell us how only our savior, Romney, can beat the opposition.
.
It is the same play book that got us the worthless coward and blowhard in the White House now.
.
Personally, I will vote Ron Paul. His is the only fiscally sound plan for our long term solvency as a nation. His is the only plan that will really protect our borders - as opposed to opening them to further, quiet invasion from without. He is the only right choice left and the media hates him because he simply has no skeletons in his closet to bring out.
.
Romney isn't a winner. He is a status quo brown-noser who represents more of the same thing that has failed us for so long.
Analyzing other candidates
I would be interested in hearing what Ghaemi thinks about the other candidates for the Republican ticket.
"Normal" people "abuse" animals all of the time. Look no further than the tens or maybe hundreds of products around your house which have been tested on animals. People hit animals in their cars & drive off. "It's just a dog." Or what about leaving a dog in a kennel for 9 hours while you're at work? I could go on & on about animal abuse & cruelty in our society. The fact that it's so rampant and unchecked lends credence to the idea that it's "normal."
Cesar Milan, the dog
Cesar Milan, the dog whisperer, for president. Does anyone own a normal dog? True they lie around a lot, but when someone comes to the house, or they are taken outside, or the encounter another dog, they come alive. Dogs are fundemantally curious and engaged and would therefore the right one could make a good president. Reading Dr. Ghami's book I think of Franklin Rosevelt as a wonderful dog.
