Simply amazing
I find it simply amazing that George Davis could get anybody but Mad Magazine to publish this article. What a load of dung.
MAD magazine fan
Paul, what a compliment! I am one of the contributors to the Barack Obama, America and the World project and I am happy that you’ve compared our work to that magazine. I used to love MAD. Here is what Wikipedia says of MAD: “Launched as a comic book before it became a magazine, it was widely imitated and influential, impacting not only satirical media but the entire cultural landscape of the 20th century,”
Do I wish we could have 1/1000th the impact? I sure do. I doubt if George Davis reads the magazine but some of the best writers over the years have written for it. This list is from Wikipedia:

Foot soldiers taking over the army or trying to. The problem is the .001%ers will find other foot soldiers. Once money has been concentrated in a few hands it is hard for the people to gain control again. I wish Obama luck. Is it your opinion that he is trying to restore he 1960s dream and still keep the social advantages that arise from the Reagan Revolution?
Organize!
The only reason that any government will do anything for the working class or middle class instead of the oligarchs is if the people are ORGANIZED!!! Join a labor union, a consumer or environmental group or civil rights group, and figure out a way to donate some of your time and talent. President Obama may have the best intentions and the best program in the world but he also works in a city where the oligarchy pulls the strings and pushes the levers. Until the number of ordinary people pressing for change becomes unbearable, it will be business as usual.
.001% should not be stereotyped
I think your tag oversimplifies. You wrote: “Generally, .001%ers believe only in making money.” Some .001%ers believe very strongly in family. I think you would consider that my best friend’s father is a .001%ers and he loves his family more than my father loves me and I am a scholarship kid here at this school. My friend’s father loves his community and this country as much as anyone I know. He also loves the beneficiaries of the charities he gives to.
YOu're right, no stereotyping
Ryan, you're right. When traffic was down I changed the tag. Let me know if this one works better, and tell the youngsters at the school that I appreciate their feedback. I'd like to know how comfortable they would be if they were one of Mitt Romney's sons and their father said or implied publicly that hungry people are just envious.
