Slow Down

Remember that old Simon & Garfunkel tune-the "59th Street Bridge Song?" It starts off with "Slow down, you move too fast." It kicks down the cobble stones, says hi to lampposts, and watches the flowers growing. And ends with "Life, I love you, All is groovy."

Slowing Down

Wow. What a concept! Taking a walk without my iPhone? Without interruptions, with no music? I may just have to try that. Who knows? Maybe my blood pressure will go down.

Slow Down --- Sounds Like Good Avice!

Couldn't have said this better myself! So true ... I usually have 2 cell phones in my pockets and always listening for my email inbox notice! I think i will have to take a deep breath and turn it all off and go for a walk ... what a concept.

Great post!

Speeding up to slow down!

As I read your post ... I can't help but think how all of our "modern" time saving conveniences actually create more of a rush. Yes .. I can get my email on the run ... answer the phone anywhere ... even record 2 TV shows while watching another. So many wonderful things to do! I think I will actually pull the plug out of the wall ... grab the hand of my love ... and take a minute go to the beach and talk with each other live ... instead of sending instant message from my iPhone to her blackberry from one room of the house to another!
