Marriage and Parenting in Today's Culture

Sorry, it's obvious that you want to jump on people who are against gay marriages but Elton John is against it too. And also, do you always ask people whom you hire to see if their personal views are in line with yours?

His actions speak better for his character: drug abuse, multiple marriages, indulgence in food as noted in his waist line. He makes Henry the VIII make since today. Henry did not like the rules so he change the language and the religion, Rush does not like the rules so he reinvents them or lies about them on a daily bases on his talk shows.

We have free speech in America but we also have a lot of uneducated people and / or poorly educated people today in America. Instead of growing up and taking responsibility of their own minds by attending classes at local community / university colleges or Adult education classes they passively rely on large money earning talk show host and fake news networks to give them their daily dose of propaganda.

History does repeat itself, Germany is referenced often in the talk host rhetoric about Nazi, if those talk host had paid attention in their history class in high school they would know Hitler’s' main brain washing tactic was to repeatedly talk against groups of people he deemed unworthy to live in Germany then other countries, he stated this rhetoric to the population in his country that was the extreme right the part of society who deemed their existence as superior to the minorities groups. When the minorities groups collectively create a majority then the once majority feel threaten and the pendulum swings so far right that the world turns upside down by their violent actions of attempting to regain their once power.

Corporate Businesses have a part in this as they have sent the manufacturing jobs overseas where they can produce unsafe products under slave wages to sell in our country to lower wage workers left to work in the service industry here at home in entertaining our depressed society.

As well as right wing politicians that hide under the banner of conservative but they really are money seeking racists. They are willing to pay for guns and wars with tax payer’s money but not food, education or medical care for our now growing impoverished nation created by the greed of the top 10 percent of our population and the politicians who have financial ties or past ties with Corporation that build the weapons and guns used in wars.

Religious leaders have a part also, making money off of our depressed population and preaching to look for the signs of the end of days and the Anti Christ again inciting anti-government sentiment and racism playing their role in creating the anger in America today. Christ preached Love, Charity and Hope and of these Love is the greatest. Love they neighbor as they self.

We have made great social stride in our nation, much of which has been done through shed blood of dedicated people who wanted fairness and equal rights for all.

We do need change in Washington to rid our system of large money contributors that pay for votes instead of the people's voices being heard. But demonizing our leaders is not the answer, trashing them every day on the radio and television is not the answer, carrying guns to Washington is not the answer, wearing tea bags on our heads is not the answer. I am afraid it is going to take a younger generation coming up to be the next great generation to make the change that is needed.

Our current leaders have skimmed the cream off of the top leaving the leaner days ahead and creating the anger in our country but like nature our country will re-generate a better generation to lead in the future. I may not see that generation but I have hope.

President Osama did inspire hope but he is ahead of his time he has made advances far more than his predecessors' but the Senate and House of Representative have gutted the reforms they have passes to the point that again the people the reforms were meant to help will not be fully helped but it is a start.

I am proud to live in our country but I am not proud of the some of the people who incite hatred to profit themselves only and like sheep my fellow Americans blindly walk down the path with them and that path only lead to destruction.

I used to work for a group of psychologists - they are all just as scary as this guy. They are very liberal and the attitude they have depends on what side of the political spectrum the person they are talking about is on. Limbaugh is a conservative so they will attack for that reason and that reason only.

You said it for me, SullyP. But the answer is very simple - it's at the end of the story - "liberals like me". Liberals cannot handle Rush. "Even" psychologists, them in particular, actually. They can't handle the guy:)

Let us be fair, sir. The man did not praise European fidelity or morality. He simply praised their ability to save attorney fees.

my first question to the woman would be: what kind of relationship do you expect with a man who wants to keep all the power?
the fallacy in modern life is confusing love with infatuation & momentary relief from loneliness that bonding with another brings (it always dissipates). does no one read camus anymore? is everyone thinking they have some new twist on love/relationships/life? funny culture, i'd say.

Why assume that Al Gore was the initiator? In long-term marriages, it's the wife who initiates the divorce two-thirds of the time.

I've lisened to Rush since 1988 and have't stopped. There is a reason why Rush is #1.

Think about that.

Those who don't or won't listen are the hard headed people. At least I've tried to read/listen to the left wing views.

Rush and John are both in agreement over same sex marriages. Both prefer civil unions.
