Insights on Our Deepest Desire

Just to be clear that you're only talking about romantic love

Of course (at least I believe) happiness and love are intricately tied together, just not necessarily romantic love. Being single is fine, but whether we have a partner or not, we still need friends, family, colleagues, etc. The problem is looking for "The One" to fulfill our lives.

Definitely, yes.

Mr John Buri,

Love is a definite prerequisite of happiness in life. Everybody knows that. Who does not want to be loved? I noticed that PT sometimes publishes articles/blogs on very common sense issues and tries to argue contrary to these common sense reasons such as this article. Is this to provide mental comfort to its readers? If so, I think PT will face lower credibility among its readers.

I have been thinking.....

I have been thinking about your comments --- is love a prerequisite for happiness? It probably depends upon (as one reader stated) whether we are talking about a love partner or whether we are talking about love from family / friends. If we are talking about the former, I'm not so sure --- I have known some really happy people who do not have a partner. But if we are talking about the latter, then I think I would have to agree.......

Thanks for your response.
