Insights on Our Deepest Desire

Great Entry!

I'm happy to see someone pointing out the impact of emotional scarring on developing satisfying romantic relationships. I also agree with you that our own ignorance is often a contributing factor in such heartbreaking (and positive) experiences. Acknowledging where we have faltered may make us wiser and more mature, but on an emotional level, the scarring will still have had an effect -- even if it becomes less pronounced over time.

I look forward to your upcoming entries!

Thank you for your response

Thanks for your response. I have a quote on my office wall that says, "Suffering passes, but the fact of having suffered never leaves us." Is it possible that we might even end up better off in the wake of the scarring? Something like a surgetically repaired tendon that may end up even more durable than the original? I have been wondering.......
