I can relate to this. I was the 'caboose child', my sibs were a lot older than me and hence were not my playmates, and my parents were obviously bored with the whole 'doing things with the kids' by then. We didn't do much as a family, like picnics or playing games in the park - also not helped by my parents being quite old and not too sprightly. Lots of time spent hanging out on my own. I don't have kids myself but I am envious of my siblings' children and the close relationships they have of with their parents.
