Myth-busting posts are the most popular at Living Single
Posted September 18, 2011
Today marks the first day of Unmarried and Single Americans Week (September 18-24) or "National Singles Week" for short. In one of the posts I'll be writing this week, I will share some of the most important things I've learned from studying singles and single life all these years. I'm also putting together a complementary post based on the collective wisdom from all of you. Details are here if you'd like to participate and haven't already let me know.
In the meantime, I thought I'd list the most popular Living Single posts since National Singles Week last year. (It is always the third full week of September.)
1. 10 myths about single people: Here are the first 4
2. Keeping marriage alive with affairs, asexuality, polyamory, and living apart
3. 10 myths about single people: Here are numbers 5, 6, and 7
4. 10 myths about single people: Here are the last 3
5. Americans just want to be single?
6. Americans' cheating hearts: Results from decades of research
7. Sweet solitude, Part 1: Two meanings of alone
8. 'Why are you single?' meets 'Why are you married?'
9. Solitude, Part 2: The benefits it brings and the special strengths of the people who enjoy it
10. Adolescent romance: Do you think it is linked to sexism?
11. What do singles spend their money on?
12. Extraversion and the single person
Occasionally, I post about topics other than single life (usually something related to deception). I didn't include those in the above list. Here are the three most popular off-topic posts since late September, 2010.
1. Who lies?
2. Friends and lovers: Is there a "knew it all along" effect?
3. Looks can kill - your better judgment
Finally, I'm happy to let you know that Singled Out is now available as a Kindle book. (Of course, you can still get it in paperback as well.) My other books have always been available in both print and electronic formats.
Happy Singles Week, everyone!
