America: Land of the Takers

How can American change its mindset?

This will be a very short post and is more of a request for your thoughts and comments and more importantly suggestions.

Even though there seem to be exceptions, many would agree that too much of the American mindset and values appear to be focused on: getting, having and holding on to many things (including grudges). It seems that as long as that Americans come from that mindset and those values, we are collectively in a bad position.

If however the collective American mindset and values can come from and be about giving, sharing and letting go (also including grudges), we will all be in a much better positiion to cooperate and collaborate and contribute to a rising tide that lifts all Americans and hopefully everyone else beyond our borders.

What are your suggestions on how to make that happen? What would be a way to make it happen one relationship and one conversation at a time?
