I disagree with your implication

Implying were doing something wrong by not going along with what everyone else thinks when we feel embarrassed is nonsense. A feeling is a feeling. And it doesn't have to have those other feelings tagging along. How we react to it is OUR choice. Claiming it can only be this bad way is black and white thinking.

I quite enjoy feeling embarrassment, thank you very much. I accept who I am and don't feel bad about that. It's nobody's business to tell me how to be or what i like. i refuse to attach guilt to it.

When the feeling comes, I blush, feel the feeling, smile at the person that opened the door to my feeling that way, and then recognize the connection I have between us.

Emotions

If you knew the process how emotions happened, you'd also know that guilt, shame, and pride are secondary emotions after the fact. If the person chooses to feel these, they are acting selfish.
