Ink Blots Cartoons

More than just the funnies.

A Prayer for Conspiracy Buffs

A cartoon about what frightens you.

child praying to stop alien abduction

Even if it's hard to scientifically measure the effects of prayer, no one can deny the hope and peace they give just in the process of praying.

It is comforting to tell our fears and worries to a hopefully neutral God, or Spirit. Gratitude journals are grand, but sometimes it helps to write down or confess problems, before we can relax enough to add up the things we are thankful for. (And it certainly would be terrifying to be abducted.)

This cartoon was originally published in the Center for Inquiry magazine, an institution promoting atheism. I, the cartoonist, am a believer in God, however. So it turns out that yes, we CAN all just learn to get along. :)
