If you always got straight A's, you might not understand this cartoon.

cartoon of woman looking at restaurant called Good Enough (but not great)
If you didn't get straight A's and then beat yourself up about it, you definitely will like this cartoon.
Lifehack has an article about how to stop being a perfectionist. They have some good suggestions, like listing all your successes, we grow from our mistakes, etc, but the part that intrigued me was about creativity:
Walt Whitman felt that his book Leaves of Grass, the book that established his place in the American literature canon, was never quite right, and re-issued revised editions throughout his life. ...The sciences, [however,] are based on the premise that you publish as soon as your work is "good enough" - and let the rest of the science world try to perfect it.
Most cartoonists tweak, or rewrite, or redraw cartoons, sometimes years later, trying to get it just right. But hey, how come scientists, with all their emphasis on checks & balances, are allowed to throw their hands up, just publish the project, and get away with B's and C's? You're busted, guys.
Well, at least Al Franken (Stuart Smalley) is "good enough."
