Bebe Gloton, the first breastfeeding doll will be introduced in the United States this September.
Never having seen a breast feeding doll, I immediately visited their website at berjuan.com. Further research led me to a video of a little girl putting on a halter that resembles a nursing bra with a pair of daisies that substitute for nipples. The young girl then begins to feed a crying baby doll. A sensor in the halter and in the doll tells her when the baby is full.
So how do people feel about Bebe Gloton? The Daily News took a poll asking, “Would you let your child play with a breast feeding doll?” The results are as follows: nine percent of the people answered "Yes", eighty-one percent said “No, its not age appropriate” and ten percent voted “I’d have to see it first before making my decision.”
How would you vote? Cheers!
