Is Tiger Woods a victim of his DNA? Science suggests yes....and no. Some 20%-40% of heterosexual married men and 20%-25% of heterosexual married women in the US will have an extramarital affair during their lifetime--although this gender difference has vanished among those under age 40. And Americans aren’t alone in their philandering. Read More

I believe that as humans we
I believe that as humans we make choices. The opportunity to cheat is any where and every where however, this does not mean that we should let our genetic tendecy dominate our actions. If we strongly believe that cheating is not right, and if we surround ourselves with people who really value and respect their partners then the desire of cheating decreases.
The true numbers
So here are the numbers for the US (probably the most sexually oppressive and obsessive culture in the western world)
"Recent studies reveal that 45-55% of married women and 50-60% of married men engage in extramarital sex at some time or another during their relationship" (Atwood & Schwartz, 2002 - Journal of Couple & Relationship Therapy)
"In 2008, 46% of all marriages involve a remarriage for one or both spouses" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divorce#United_States)
"unmarried couples 6.4 million, or 10% of all couples, in 2007"
(Census data)
"The percentage of households headed by a married couple who had children under 18 living with them declined to 21 percent in 2010, down from 24 percent in 2000." (Census Data)
The numbers from other western countries indicate an even stronger trend
So if this is not enough to show that all your conclusions from your research are based on far-fetched, idealistic, fairy tale style personal biases I don't know what is.
