This is good advice. As a person that hires people, I have to say that people don't know how to impress the employer. They don't know that getting hired is about "selling." And all selling is about getting to know the customer and their problems. A employee's purpose is to solve a problem for the company. What problem are you good at solving? It's not about you… it is about the company you want to work for.
