If I had a dollar for every person who's ever said, "I just struggle with the Accountability Piece" - I'd have a very fat wallet.
And I have - shocking surprise - a very strong point of view on accountability.
[Settle in, why don't you?]
When we're very small children, we have no accountability, really. Someone wakes us up, someone changes our diapers, or cleans up our messes. Food appears, often on demand. It's magic!
As we age, we get more and more independence, but often we initiate our actions based on the needs of others. The research paper gets completed because the professor needs it. The casserole is delivered to the sick neighbor because our name is on that list at church. We go to the gym because we've hired a personal trainer.
See? We are trained to expect external push to our internal motivation.
Sometimes to the point that we don't even know if we actually have internal motivation. We kinda lose it along the way.
So we hire accountability partners, thinking "now, I'll get stuff done."
And maybe you will. Maybe.
But you most certainly will when you take that accountability piece internal and allow it to match your personal motivation.
Here's how you start.
