Get Your Give On

Give a little bit. Make a big impact.

The Giving Return

Giving is reciprocal and self-balancing. As you give more, you experience a psychic shift that heightens your awareness of the many things you receive. The giving part is easy, the receiving can be more difficult and more uncomfortable. We're programmed to see receiving as a sign of weakness. Overcoming that preconceived notion can take more effort than you'd think, but there's a payoff. Read More

Realization

This may have nothing to do with religion but it made something click in me. I wasn't the one recieving really...it was my friend, Tai. I was more of a deep loner. No friends or anything. Then she came along. Sat with me. We talked. Became friends. About two years passed, she told me she was moving. Months passed, I finally get to meet her mother. A lot of stuff happens. (Being a loner...my parents don't take me anywhere, I keep everything inside). They invite me to go to Florida with them. Augusta. Atlanta. I had so much fun...experience. Times past and she ends up living with me for the summer. We have small quarrels and I just felt like she wasn't really grateful to me. Until I read this. She granted a wish I've always wanted. Travel. In return, when my friend moved, they got this house...fully furnished. EXPENSIVE furniture. It's like...wow. I didn't realize how giving and recieving was..until I read this. Thank you for making this article.

Giving and the Law of Tenfold Return

Hi Cami,

I found your book "29 Gifts" at Barnes & Noble today, and I have enjoyed reading it and also reading your website. Tonight I found this blog post about the various returns that come from heartfelt giving. I have been reading about "the law of tenfold return" for several months, and an old book called "Seed Money", and I wondered if you had heard of this "law" and the book, particularly since I believe it originated out in your area (California), through the Church of Religious Science, back in the early 60's, and I saw that you quote a pastor from the Church of Religious Science toward the end of your book. Thank you and keep up this great work.

Best wishes,

John Huff
