Scary Possibilities

I think a more worrying scenario than assisted reproductive technologies to create children from scratch is the high possibility of unwanted children. For instance someone having 3 children, picking out the "best" one, and neglecting the others.

Neglect is, of course, always

Neglect is, of course, always horrible but what you're describing can already happen when parents pick favorites based on personality or talent in a certain area without any kind of genetic testing.

I don't see anything wrong with creating humans from scratch so long as you ensure they are well cared for.
