Gay's Anatomy

An insider's look at gay culture and identity.

Great article, and very

Great article, and very important points.

It was also nice to see bi people referred to twice in the entire thing, even if one of those references was within a quote from someone else.

Homophobia

If believing that the Holy Father in heaven created man and woman because it was good and he saw that it was good that is good enough for me.
Man and man sexually is not normal, even if you say that it is.
I do not have to prove that this is not normal, you have to prove that it is. The mere fact that some people do it does not prove that it is normal.

In relation...

To the comment above.

Some people believe in God too. The mere fact that some people do it does not prove that it is normal.

And I don't have to prove that God does not exist, you have to prove that he is.

Seems that homosexuality and the big guy upstairs have a lot in common. Although.... I've seen a lot more happy gay relationships than 'miracles' from some 'thing' no one has ever seen.

Also... the majority of people that are homophobic seem to be American. Perhaps you need some education in not being ignorant and stop living in the past.

As for this article, I wholeheartedly agree and think that not enough is being done to educate people about issues like this.

Coming from a herterosexual Christian mother...

To the author: I enjoyed the article. Some very interesting points and things to consider when raising children. I especially would like more research on the encouraging nurturing fathers in young boys. It makes sense for boys to play 'daddy.'

To the comments above...Being a Christian I believe that there are things I will never fully understand about Him and his creations. Tornados, earthquakes and homosexuality are a few things that I will probably never fully understand. I do completeley understand that I am called to love God with all my heart and soul and love ALL as I would love myself. When thinking about how to raise my children, I have to come back to that principal beleief and make decisions from there. I have gay friends that love my daughter and she is bound to see them interact and I will have to deal with her questions later. That thought is what lead me to research and find this article. What will I say: Love them because God made them, they are different but God has a plan for differences amongst his creations; one I do not fully understand.

Gay's anatomy

Very good article, with an honesty and clarity that is quite refreshing. With respect to the previous submissions and religion. As a Christian I am fully aware of the views on homosexuality. However, if you look deeper into this article it seems to be about peoples experiences and discriminatory opinions held against. I believe people are different and Jesus very much accepted them where they were at!! He didn't say to prostitutes, leppers, the poor etc that they where not acceptable to him beausse they wern't ccepted in society. I believe he comforted them and was compassionate. After all we all need things to be forgiven!
