The trouble is, he's going against what Christians are told to do by Jesus

Jesus himself said, when you pray, don't do what the hypocrites do. They love to be seen praying in public. When you pray, go into your closet (bedroom) and shut the door. Only God will see you pray, but he will reward you in front of everybody.

So what is Tebow doing with this public show of prayer?
To whom, exactly, is he praying? Because it isn't to Jesus or to the Christian God.
