What is my Psychological Type?
Hi
This was very helpfull but I was one of those people that didn't know what would I do ,but after I saw the answers I kinda figured so now my question is how can I make sure what type I am?

Glad you found the post helpful. Many people are unwaware or unsure of their true typology, as I mentioned. One way to clarify your type might be to experiment with both extraverted and introverted activities when feeling depleted to see whether one is more energizing than another. Of course, taking one of the far more sophisticated typological tests such as the MBTI or SL-TDI might also be revealing.
Finding your psychological type
Technically, if you want to take one of the more sophisticated tests, you should probably go to a professional tester, but if you want to get a pretty good idea, you can try this wedsite:

It's too short to be official, or necessarily completely accurate, but it can point you in the right direction. You can also read more about the types, which may help narrow down, also. It's best if you take the test at least once with someone who knows you really well, because sometimes, as the author was saying, people develop personas that aren't necessarily reflective of who they are, or simply aren't that in touch with themselves.

I certainly agree that extraversion and introversion are the most useful aspects of the Myer-Briggs.
As a side note, I do find it surprising that Myer-Briggs, while intuitive, has little empirical support or validity and yet is so widely used and seems to go unquestioned.

Hi, Not surprised you can't find validity / reliability data for MBTI. It's a marketing triumph, not a psychometric one. Suggest you look at JTI (Jung Type Indicator). Cheers.
Partner's Type
I definately think of myself as an introvert. And I'm pretty sure my
husband is an extrovert. He constantly tries to get me out to visit
and interact with others when I'd prefer to stay home and paint or read or just enjoy my natural surroundings. Any advice on how my
needs can be deemed as important as all his activities? We've been
married for more than 30 years and have grandchildren. So far, I've
been trying to keep up with the demands on me, especially as a mother and grandmother. How can I make others realize I need time
to recharge?
Introverted Daughter
This article was very validating for me. I was raised by an extravert who treated my introversion like it was a disease. Now I'm raising an Introvert and an extravert, both boys bring unique gifts to our family, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Body-mind-typology conflict
I've know for years that I'm an extravert... I can FEEL the difference, that although I appreciate some solitude, I do get energy, emotionally?, being with others.
But now my health works against that dynamic... ever since a traumatic brain injury [car accident], I endure limited ability to socialize due to neuro-fatigue and related cognitive limitations. I spend more hours alone, and take "cognitive breaks," yet I can get so tired being in my own head too long. Frustrating, "au but" [as they say here in la belle province]
Not sure if that makes much sense to people without a TBI...?
