What do you need to become great, hard work, talent, or both? The Dan Plan aims to find out. Read More

Chicken and the Egg
Great article! Just wanted to share some thoughts on this amazing journey. The biggest question that comes to mind, in that it's very difficult to measure talent, is how do we know that Dan doesn't have raw talent to begin with? Raw talent that was simply never tapped when it comes to golf? So if he does succeed, how do you differentiate between Ericsson's theory and the possibility that innate talent was the driving force?
In my work with athletes and businesswomen, I firmly believe that the road to excellence in any endeavor is by developing and leveraging your gifts. It's just as important to know who you are not, as it is to know who you are. True happiness and engagement is much easier to achieve when you are not on a constant uphill climb, working to overcome your weaknesses.
This will be a very interesting story to follow, and I wish Dan every success.
