Excellend Article and Points

Dear Dr. Orloff:

I came across your article and could not agree more. I like the way you broke down the components of frustration and how lack of coping skills concerning frustration can really negatively impact one's life. Technology and our 24/7 society has really taken a toll human relationships, starting with ourselves. The wisdom imparted from grandparents and elders who have had key roles in shaping the future generations has unfortunately been seen as outdated and as a means of giving in or authority/ control.

I am a licensed therapist and addictions specialist. Frustration tolerance (distress tolerance) is at the heart of what I teach clients. In fact, I just wrote a four part blog post on healing and next week part four is about forbearance and its' presenting gifts in recovery and healing.

I will forward this article as it is so helpful.
