I have spent the last several weeks spending every free moment working on getting insurance coverage for my patients. Increasingly I am having to write up in-depth clinical reports before insurance companies will consider coverage. I am happy to say that I have met with much success but the time commitment is extensive. Today, I finished my last report (for the time being) and can now turn my attention to this blog.
I have been looking forward to introducing our readers to my foray into the educational video world. My introduction has been kindly orchestrated by an interesting project at kidsinthehouse.com. Kids in the House is an educational website about parenting. I am proud to be one of the talking head experts video taped talking about parenting, and in my case parenting through an eating disorder. Parents are also featured sharing their hard-earned wisdom. Kids in the House flew me out to LA where I met founder, Leana Greene. Leana is a parent of three kids and had become a parenting lecture junkie. Living in southern California, gave her access to many experts that most parents do not have access to. Leana’s dream is to give parents everywhere access to quality advice in a quick and easy way, as well as, to create a resource where parents can share their wisdom.
