Lying hurts people
An eating disorder is not a mental illness.
They have Bipolar disease.
Quit misleading people. Especially the mentally ill.
Eating disorders are a mental disorder
May I refer you to the proposed revisions of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders V, the standard classification of mental disorders used by mental health professionals in the United States. Now being developed, this latest edition of the manual is due out in May, 2013. Not only will continue to include anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, but quite possibly also several new categories of eating disorders, including binge eating disorder. http://www.dsm5.org/proposedrevision/pages/feedingandeatingdisorders.aspx
The new rules
These are characteristics (disorders) of the 2 main groups of mental illness.Disorders are not meant to be unto themselves.
Everything falls under the Depression / Bipolar label,or, those people created by Bipolars, via genetic mutation. These disorders can also be momentary, like in a situational Depression.
Stop misleading mentally ill people with eating disorders.
