Existentially-modified Prayer of St. Francis : )

Hi Timothy :)

I've been very much enjoying your blog. I modified/adulturated (depending on one's view) the Prayer of St. Francis to make it more personally meaningful. It's amazing how a slight twist in thought can be very empowering. Keep up the great work.

Make yorself an instrument of peace;

where there is hatred, create love;

where there is injury, forgiveness;

where there is doubt, faith;

where there is despair, hope;

where there is darkness, light;

and where there is sadness, joy.

Do not seek to be consoled but to console;

to be understood, as to understand;

to be loved, as to love;

for it is in giving that we receive,

it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,

and it is in accepting our mortality that we can live with purpose.
