Procrastination and Guilt

I have been both procratinating and feeling guilty all of my life (I am doing both of those things RIGHT NOW!). I had always thought that the procrastination was because of laziness and the guilt because of Catholisism; it is great to have an explanation of how the two things are linked. I have been reading some stuff on procratination and demand resistance/sensitivity today and I feel as though things are coming together a bit in my mind. I am going to focus on these things in my therapy session tommorow. Thank you for this article. it has helped me great deal.

I can't say I've ever linked

I can't say I've ever linked these two, but it definitely applies to my life. I have suffered from chronic procrastination since I was about 14 years old. I am a high income earner, yet I am perpetually in hot water because I don't take on simple obligations and tasks. I am years behind on some things that are putting my family in jeopardy. I am mid-40s and feel like I am living about 5% of my potential. Incidentally, I don't connect potential with money. I just feel like all I'm really accomplishing is making money, but I'm not using ANY of my skills or doing anything remotely close to what I think I was made to do. I'm just a conduit of money.

Thanks for the insight.
