Avenged Procrastination!

I put off applying to a major art event, though I knew of the deadline two weeks in advance, and had in fact done everything that needed doing to submit in time. The deadline arrived (last Friday) and that day the Avenger Gods of Procrastination struck their mighty blow. Friday arrived and I was going to submit online. The power went out for five hours. For no reason. Then when the power came back on and I was able to get on the computer, the net went down for two hours. Once the net was back up and I was able to connect, I discovered that the firewall had accidentally been turned off on my computer and I had about a million viruses that needed to be wiped. Once they were wiped, I had to deal with pesky dial-up internet and slow uploads. Once I finally got to my Yahoo! compose mail page, in the process of attaching the files, the "Cannot display this page" message popped up, and I lost the progress on the attachments. It was then 5:30. The final deadline was 6:00. Needless to say, I did not get to submit to the Art show. Sucks to be me. And sucks to procrastinate.

(The mighty Avengers will strike.)
