Hi Rom, I'm a prospective

Hi Rom, I'm a prospective Psychology student in Australia.

Thankyou for writing this article.

Recently I have been reflecting on so-called "advice" that I had given people in the past, and more importantly, determining whether I was being imposing or sincere ( more often than not the former).

That being said, I found that your mentioning of people using questions as "a tool of communicating their own ideas or values" really struck a chord with me.

I have been guilty of this in the past and - like you - feel that without being open and honest about your take on the situation ( whilst being sincere, of course!) that you are not being truly genuine.

Career in Psychology

Hello Ron,

I was browsing the web in search of information
on Psychology and I came across your article.

I feel as if we as people all do this without
possibly not even realising that we are imposing our own ideas on someone else.

I am also thinking about persuing a carrer in this field so any advice given would be greatly appreaciated.
