This week's words of wisdom come to us from reader Peggy. She writes:
I think that you left out the most important asset that each one of us has and so do you - a beautiful smile.
I find that when I am feeling down or blue, if I simply smile at someone, anyone, I feel better because of their reaction. And I must admit, I often follow the smile with a greeting or a kind word.
I believe that a smile illuminates the light at the core of our being, and that this light can illuminate the whole world. A smile is the easiest thing that we have to share. If a smile was the one thing that we resolved to share daily, I feel that we would all come to know just how beautiful the world can be. It is hard to have someone smile at you and to not smile in return.
Kate Nowak's book, May You Be a Blessing, is a perfect example of this. She expresses so eloquently just how I truly feel about the power of interpersonal connections in our daily lives.
