In the next few days, expect a heap of news articles and talking heads blathering about the State of the Union. What's fascinating is how so many people interpret the same event differently (each through his or her own prism of values and beliefs). It's one of the benefits of living in a democracy. Some people never really listened to the State of the Union. Read More

Money appropriations
Why send money to Haiti or send Missionaries to a country where the intent is to do harm than good? We have people here in the United States who needs help, our fellow neighbor down the street, or our fellow employee whose lights or natural gas is about to get axed for unpaid bill due to layoffs? Why not do this for our own people? Let Haiti rebuild itself from ruins. It is their responsibility to rebuild since they have a government in force. Anarchy will never prevail except in Somalia. I have to say the least that if you wanted to help out a neighbor down the road, It will help you out because they will be there for you in times of need. You will have to understand that helping someone in the world and receiving a spit in the face will equal one thing. Injustice for all. Let people feel the non-assistance of the USA. The drum will be beating differently. Lets get the USA to be in Nationalism, bring our people and companies back here to put our people to work. Plus moreover, workers rights needs to be protected in terrible times. I foresee a time where Human resource managers will have to face the debacle of there own. You cannot continue assisting the enemy of peace when you can help someone who appreciates others. I know many people will bash my own opinion, its the whole truth. So Help me Jesus as the father head of God.
Hoping policy fails is
Hoping policy fails is critically different than hoping people fail. How much is being made of the faith-based organizations that are still in Indonesia versus the group of Baptist entangled in an alleged Haitian child abduction scheme? Could these same faith-based organizations who toil in anonymity half-way around the world be affiliated with the ones who walk the sidewalk outside the planned parenthood clinic? Should their belief for the sanctity of life differ between the two locals? Is their evidence that those people do not facilitate adoption?
Which brings me to the push of your post: When a politician suggests we solve problems, I ask: how? If I agree on the agency of his Hope but not the pathways, I will hope he fails. If I don’t agree with any of his Hope- I’ll really hope he fails.
Solution details are rarely as clear as the ideals they attempt to clarify. Tragedies scream for the idealism of humanity; the rest of life mumbles the details.
Good Day!
