This exercise makes me a little apprehensive just thinking about it -- and for that reason probably one I should try!

Losing self-consciousness is one of the hallmarks of being in the flow and yet, my fear of disappointing someone or not living up to their expectations, is often what hampers my performance. Being able to even just imagine doing whatever I wanted without any consequences or repercussions (much less do it) -- now that would be liberating.

You're so right

Weird (but understandable) how merely imagining something can create the same fears and tensions within us. I suppose the brain thinks we're about to actually do the thing, and the prohibitions we've learned are deeply ingrained. For creativity to flow freely, we must be able to distinguish fantasy from reality. And here we thought we'd accomplished that once and for all by kindergarten!

this is crazy-awesome!!! oh, the things i would do...from my work world to my private world...wow!! the freedom to really be me!!! to be who i want to be, (and she isnt evil or cruel, but certainly more plaful and adventurous...and would probably be more verbal and outspoken!!!).
