when to talk to past, present, and future selves

Thanks for the post. I thought Zimbardo and Boyd's categorization was interesting, but I wasn't able to put it into practice. I probably need to re-read the book. I've been thinking of healthy ways to use the past, present, and future. I can think of three reasons to visit the past: Nostalgia, self-esteem, and insight; Clearly most mental effort should be in the present; Then there's the future.
