Mindfulness In Rehabilitation
Great summary of the literature Dr Beilock...thank you. I've been working for over 13 yrs to bring mindfulness to rehab (PT/OT/speech). As my personal practice deepened I've come to realize the important shift required in teaching/treating from that level of awareness. It begins with the practitioner and THEN is shared with the patient/client. Dan Siegel's work on the therapeutic relationship is a great resource for clinician's to bridge to the clinic.
The Ohio APTAis also sponsoring my course in Aug of 2011.
Your article is moving through the PT twitter world to raise awareness, which leads to the next level of development...how do I...? Thanks again for your work. ~ matt
