I wanted to say how wonderful to come across this site! Dogs rule! They save my life everyday. They are my medical companion animals. My former psychiatrist wrote letters for me saying I had to have them live with me for my emotional and mental stability. What this gives me is a bit of freedom in rental housing. My landlords cannot make me move because of them as a result of this letter. A landlord cannot legally turn me away from a rental, but of course they do anyway.
My dogs are so good that my landlords say they are glad I have them and I would never want to rent from someone who doesn't like dogs. I'm always a bit cautious around people who do not have dogs anyway. Still, the letter helps. And it is sooo true. I am not ashamed to admit that I'm not sure I'd still be on this earth if it wasn't for the love my dogs give me each and every moment they live and that includes my sweet Free girl who lives in my heart now.
