I love you, man (the movie) comes out next Friday and the early buzz about this man in search of a guy best man for his wedding is good. Paul Rudd is making the rounds of the talk shows. A few years ago (1998) he played Jennifer Aniston's love crush (though he was gay). The movie is drawing articles and radio talk shows on bromance, man dates, male friendships, and men's and women's roles in marriage.
I suggest you get your friends together for a trip to the movie and then have them back to your home for pizza and a discussion about where men's friendships are heading. Recent questions I have been asked are: 1. are friendships between men different than they were 20 years ago? 2. what has email done to men's friendships? and 3. is it okay to have a bromance? More on the movie after I see it with my friends...
