Spanish flu too?
Very interesting. You make a good case for Wilsonian hypertension and previous strokes. But I wonder what you think about the idea that Wilson contracting the Spanish flu during the 1919 pandemic was also a contributor to his ultimate collapse. I've seen a good case made for it by other writers. This particular flu strain was known to carry a risk of neuropsychological and neurovascular side effects, and may have exacerbated an underlying tendency toward stroke. He may have contracted the disease during his fateful trip to Europe after the war. Does your research cover this?
