Richard D. Ginsburg, Ph.D.

Dr. Richard D. Ginsburg is the Co-Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Sport Psychology Program and Performance and Character Excellence in Sports (PACES) Institute and serves as a faculty member of the Harvard Medical School. A clinical psychologist and sport psychology consultant, Dr. Ginsburg offers a broad range of clinical services to children, adolescents and adults and conducts sport research. Over the past decade, Dr. Ginsburg has provided sport psychology consultation to the Harvard Men's Lacrosse, Women's Soccer, Men's Water Polo and Women's Ice Hockey Teams as well as the U16 and 17 Women's National Soccer Team (Spring, 2007). Dr. Ginsburg provides talks and consultations nationally to youth and high school athletic programs. He is an experienced athlete at the high school and college levels and a former independent school teacher and coach. Dr. Ginsburg is the co-author of Whose Game Is It, Anyway? A guide to helping your child get the most from sports, organized by age and stage (Houghton Mifflin, 2006).
