Melissa Burkley

Melissa Burkley is currently an assistant professor of social psychology at Oklahoma State University. She earned her doctoral degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006. She conducts research in the area of social cognition, particularly with a focus on stereotypes and prejudice. Her recent work has examined what it is like to be the member of a stereotyped group. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, photography, writing and spending lazy Sunday afternoons with her husband and puppy.
