Kimerer LaMothe, Ph.D.

Kimerer LaMothe, PhD, is a philosopher and dancer who lives with her partner and their five children on a farm in upstate New York. She earned her masters degree in Christianity and Culture from Harvard Divinity School and a PhD in Theology of the Modern West from Harvard University. LaMothe is a former professor at Brown and Harvard; a recipient of fellowships from the Radcliffe Institute and the Center for the Study of World Religions; and an author of many books including What a Body Knows: Finding Wisdom in Desire , Between Dancing and Writing: The Practice of Religious Studies , Nietzsche's Dancers: Isadora Duncan, Martha Graham, and the Revaluation of Christian Values , and the forthcoming Farm Life Love.
