Kim Sheridan

Kimberly Sheridan holds a joint appointment in Educational Psychology and Art and Visual Technology at George Mason University where she is developing a research center on cognition and the arts. She is co-principal investigator on the National Science Foundation funded project, Game Design through Mentorship and Collaboration, in which middle and high school students in Washington, DC collaborate to learn to design video games using cutting-edge game design engines and 3-D modeling software. She was the research specialist on the Studio Thinking Project at Harvard Project Zero and is co-author of the book Studio thinking: The real benefits of visual arts education. Kim earned her bachelor's degree in Art from Kalamazoo College and her doctorate in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University's Graduate School of Education.
