John Cline, Ph.D.

John Cline, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist and diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine. He is on the professional staff of the Sleep Disorders Centers of Connecticut and Waterbury Hospital Regional Sleep Lab. He's also an assistant clinical professor in the department of psychiatry at Yale University. He obtained his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Virginia and his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Toledo. He completed his predoctoral internship in clinical psychology at the West Haven VAMC and did postdoctoral work at the West Haven VAMC and Elmcrest Psychiatric Institute. His interests include behavioral medicine, health psychology and the applications of psychological approaches to the management of illness and the optimization of health. He is a past president and fellow of the Connecticut Psychological Association and received the Karl F. Heiser Presidential Award for Advocacy in Psychology of the American Psychological Association in 1996. He is also a diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management and is certified by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America.
