Jim Taylor

Jim Taylor, Ph.D., is an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco. He works in performance psychology and has been a consultant for executives, businesses, university athletic departments, and international sporting teams. He has worked with, for example, the United States and Japanese ski teams, the United States Tennis Association, USA Triathlon, and the Miami City Ballet.

A former alpine ski racer, Taylor is also a 2nd degree black belt and certified instructor in karate, a marathon runner, and an Ironman triathlete. He has published his work in scientific journals as well as popular publications.

Taylor is the author of ten books, including Positive Pushing: How to Raise a Successful and Happy Child, Your Children Are Under Attack, The Triathlete's Guide to Mental Training (Ultrafit Multisport Training), and Applied Sport Psychology: Four Perspectives, the Prime Sport book series, Psychology of Dance, Psychological Approaches for Sports Injury Rehabilitation, and Comprehensive Sports Injury Management.
