Jay Dixit

Jay Dixit started as a Psychology Today intern way back in 1996, when the magazine shared a single 2400-baud modem with Spy Magazine and Mother Earth News. The internship set him on a new course, and when he got back to Yale at the end of the summer he changed his major from English to psychology, the degree he earned in 1998.

After graduating, he worked as a freelancer, writing for The New York Times, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone, Slate, and Wired before rejoining PT in 2006 as Senior Editor. During his free time, he runs an ultimate frisbee league in Brooklyn and competes in an oral storytelling series called The Moth. His personal Web site is jaydixit.com.

Jay Dixit's PT blog posts are in Brainstorm.
