Gretta Krane

Gretta Krane is a writer, columnist, and public speaker who draws on the first-hand traumatic experiences of her own life to help others better understand and grow in theirs. She speaks to colleges, women's groups and service organizations on the topic of trauma and recovery. On March 14th, 1997, Gretta Krane's husband committed suicide in front of her, and her whole belief system crashed. In that split second her entire world turned upside down. "Why did this happen to me? What's wrong with me? Am I a bad person? Because things like this only happen to bad people." Were all questions she was forced to answer. It wasn't until Gretta found the answers to these questions and more that she was able to shift from grief, guilt and shame, into healing, understanding and forgiveness. "Our adversities and tragedies make us reach out for a deeper understanding of ourselves, and the answers we find make us stronger."
Her PT blog is Girl Gone Sane.
