Emily Troscianko

Emily Troscianko

Emily Troscianko studied French and German at Oxford University, England; she also took a Masters degree there, and is now completing a doctorate in German, on the works of Franz Kafka. She has been appointed a tutor of German at the University for the coming academic year. She became anorexic at the age of sixteen, and grew increasingly ill during the next ten years. Last summer she embarked on a course of cognitive behavioural therapy and began to eat again. She has now regained a normal weight and feels that she has 'come back to life'. While studying at Oxford, she co-authored two works of non-fiction with the writer and broadcaster Adam Hart-Davis, and also wrote two accounts of her anorexia: an autobiography, and a short novel.

Her PT blog is A Hunger Artist.
