Eli J. Finkel

Eli J. Finkel is an associate professor of social psychology at Northwestern University, where he has conducted research alongside fellow "attractionologist" Paul Eastwick. Finkel earned his bachelors degree from Northwestern University (1997) and his masters and doctoral degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1999 and 2001, respectively). His research has explored initial romantic attraction, betrayal and forgiveness, intimate partner violence, and the sundry ways in which we are influenced by our relationships.
