Elana Premack Sandler

Elana Premack Sandler, LCSW, MPH, approaches health issues from a social perspective, viewing elements of the social environment as crucial factors in promoting individual health and well-being. Elana specializes in violence and injury prevention and adolescent health promotion. She has worked on sexual, domestic, and dating violence prevention, school violence prevention, as well as suicide prevention. She has experience working in community settings and community-based organizations, with schools, and consulting to statewide entities. Elana also has an interest in health communication and social marketing.

She currently works as part of the Suicide Prevention Resource Center, a national center providing technical assistance to states, tribes, territories and campuses implementing suicide prevention activities. She serves a portfolio of nine states working to prevent youth suicide.

Elana earned a Master of Social Work and a Master of Public Health at Boston University and is a licensed social worker in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
