A Mother's Journey: Hoping, Coping & Succeeding

A Conversation with James Durbin: His New Album, Music and Autism

"My mom always talks about being prideful and being proud of who I am. And I was made this way for a reason. Growing up I never knew what that reason would be until I got the pleasure of going on American Idol and sharing with the world who I am." ~ James Durbin Read More

James Durbin

Thank you so much for writing this article about such a talented and gracious role model for kids with Asperger's and Tourette's. His music is a blessing and he is a blessing to us all. May he have a long and glorious career, and may it soar as high as is other-wordly voice. We love James Durbin!

James Durbin is my comrade in arms! Can you hear his battle cry?

James Durbin - Screaming

My parents said it wouldn't last forever,
I'm still waiting to get better, liars.
And they're lying to me now.

I always knew that I would fit in, get kicked out,
But I never caved in, liars.
And I'm dealing with it now.

I'm screaming, screaming for the losers
Screaming, scream at the abusers.
Show them that we're fed up,
Come on throw your hands up,

We're screaming, everybody hates us,
Screaming, 'cause they can never break us.
We're not gonna give up,
Come on throw your hands up

Got a lot of friends worth loosing,
I've got a lot of friends just using me,
So can you hear my battle cry?

I'm screaming, screaming for the losers
